Ex-Kogi PDP governorship aspirant defects to APC

Lokoja - A former gubernatorial aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State and national chairman of the Northern Local Government Chairmen Forum (NLGCF), Mohammed Ali has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports Daily Trust. He defected on Monday along with 14 local government chairmen from the state. Ali said he has decided to bow along with the 14 Local Government Council chairmen, their ward councillors; 5 Special Advisers; 11 Senior Special Assistants; 25 Special Assistants and the entire democratic structures in the local governments they represent. Ali, who spoke on behalf of the defectors, said their aspiration of serving their people and Nigerians can only be realized in the APC. He said it is their belief that the current leadership of the PDP in Kogi State has jettisoned the ideals of the founding fathers of the party. Read more at Daily Trust.
