My Mother's Kidnap Won't Stop Me From Wining ‎The Election - Moses Siasia

The Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) candidate for the December 5 Bayelsa state governorship election, Moses Siasia, has said the kidnap of his mother by suspected militants will not distract him from winning the election. Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) governorship candidate, Moses Siasia, flagging off his campaign with a walk Madam Siasia was kidnapped from her house in Odoni village, Sagbama local government area of Bayelsa state by armed men who stormed the family’s house in the early hours of today, November 17. Moses who is the younger brother of former Super Eagles player and current under-23 coach, Samson Siasia said a line of communication has been opened between the kidnappers and the police. “A line of communication has been opened, but we cannot pay the ransom been asked for,” he said. “The kidnap of my other cannot distract me from winning the election. I’m focused on the election and I’m certain she will be rescued alive by the police,”he told our reporter in a telephone chat. Also, his elder brother and coach of Nigeria’s football u-23 team, Samson Siasia has appealed to the kidnapperswho abducted his mother to release her. The 35 years old aspirant said he is continuing with his campaign as he held various meetings with different groups in the state. He played host to some youth groups in the state earlier today, Wednesday November 18‎ before visiting the Yoruba community in Bayelsa. He pledge to support the Yorubas in Bayelsa and create a better business friendly community if elected governor. “My wife is Yoruba, so I’m one of you. If you elect me as your governor here in Bayelsa, a better business environment is guaranteed,”he said. Siasia urged the Yorubas to not to fall for politicians who do not have programs for the non-indigenes in the state.
