Sylva Pleads With Supporters For Peaceful Conduct Of Forthcoming Bayelsa Governorship Elections

Ahead of the December 5 governorship election in Bayelsa state, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timipre Sylva has again appealed to all his supporters to always conduct themselves peacefully even in the face of provocation by members of the opposition. The former governor renewed the plea in Yenagoa after forestalling what would have been a bloody clash between supporters of the APC and PDP, during the burial of second republic senator, Amatari Zuofa on Saturday at Kaiama. He says governor Seriake Dickson need to show greater commitment to the peace accord entered into by political parties in the state.
